Friendswood, Texas
Friendswood, TX websites and SEO, starting at $65 a month
Friendswood is small, settled and well off, and many of its businesses also work Pearland, League City and Clear Lake. Google's results for a Friendswood SEO search show nothing from Friendswood itself. Here is what that means and how we help, remotely.

What Google shows for "seo friendswood tx"
We checked "seo friendswood tx" on October 17, 2026. The nine organic results did not include one page about Friendswood. Two were list pages from LocalSpark (one for Texas, one for Houston), two were MapQuest entries for firms in Seabrook and Houston, one was a Better Business Bureau page for SEO services near Honey Island, two were Facebook pages for providers in Pearland and Houston, and two were agency pages about Kingwood, on the far side of Houston. Our count put five as directories and listings, two as agency sites and two as social pages. A map pack appeared, and there was no AI Overview.
The search volume is small, and most of it is about websites. In October 2026 there were about 10 monthly searches each for "friendswood web design", "web design friendswood" and "seo friendswood tx", roughly 30 together. Two of the three phrasings ask for a web designer, so owners here tend to start with the site itself.
As for People Also Ask, the questions were generic: what an SEO consultant does, the 80/20 rule, whether SEO is paid or free, whether AI has killed it, what is replacing it, and whether SEO is a safe job in 2026. None mentioned Friendswood.
Reading that as a Friendswood owner
A result made of directories and businesses from Seabrook, Pearland and Kingwood means Google found almost nothing written about Friendswood for that search. The map pack showing up anyway tells you Google treats it as a local search, so it pulls the nearest listings it has. For your own trade, that suggests two things. First, the listings themselves (MapQuest, BBB, Yelp, the trade directories) carry weight here, so make sure your name, address and hours match on all of them. Second, a single well-made page about your service in Friendswood can stand out, because there may be few others like it.
A small, settled, high-income city
By Census Bureau estimates, Friendswood had 41,065 residents in 2020 and 41,291 in 2024, a change of 0.6%. Its 2019-2023 American Community Survey figures show 19,030 employed residents, a median household income of $125,052, and 16.0% of workers at home.
That is a stable population with money to spend on homes and families, and with few new arrivals each year. In a settled town like this, a search often comes after a friend's recommendation: the customer looks you up to check, reads the reviews closely and looks for photos of real jobs. For roof, HVAC, pool, remodeling and tutoring businesses, the pages that convert show the work and name the streets or subdivisions where it was done. Reviews that mention a specific job carry more weight than a pile of five-star ratings with no words.
Between Pearland and Clear Lake
Friendswood sits mostly in Galveston County, with part of the city in Harris County. The town was founded by Quakers, which is where the name comes from. FM 518 and FM 528 run through it, Clear Creek runs through it, and the Clear Lake area and NASA's Johnson Space Center are a short drive east.
At about 41,000 residents, Friendswood is rarely a whole market by itself. Many businesses here also serve League City, six miles southeast, Pearland, eight miles northwest, and Pasadena, eleven miles north, along with Webster and Alvin. Some go as far as Galveston. For a Business Profile, that usually means hiding your address and listing the towns you serve, unless customers come to you. For the site, it means a strong Friendswood page plus a page for each nearby city where you have real jobs. For how the wider metro works, see our Houston SEO page.
Where to start
Since most Friendswood searches here are about websites, start with yours. The free SEO audit looks over your Friendswood pages, how they load on a phone, your listings and your reviews, and says plainly whether the site needs work before SEO. If it does, our website design page shows how we build and what a site costs. SEO plans start at $65 a month, with no long contract, and all of the work happens remotely.

Friendswood questions
Is a new website worth it for a small Friendswood business?
If your current site loads slowly, breaks on a phone, or crams every service onto one page, usually yes. Customers usually check a site before they call, and Google needs a page for each service to know what to rank you for. Our sites start at $400, quoted per project. If the site is fine, spend the money on SEO instead.
Which towns should a Friendswood business list as service areas?
Only the ones you really serve. For many Friendswood trades that means Friendswood, Pearland, League City, Webster, Alvin and the Clear Lake area. A service-area business can list up to 20 on its Business Profile. Listing towns you rarely visit does not help, and on your website, give a town its own page only when you have jobs and reviews from there to show.
Friendswood is in two counties. Which one should my listings use?
Use your real address, whichever county it falls in, and keep it identical everywhere it appears. Most customers search by city, not county, so 'Friendswood, TX' matters more than the county name in titles and headings. If you serve both the Galveston County and Harris County sides, say so on your site, and check the county rules that apply to your trade with the county itself.
