Texarkana, Texas

SEO for Texarkana, TX businesses from $65 a month, on both sides of the state line

Texarkana is one market split between two states, and Google treats it as two cities. In October 2026, only two of the top results for Texarkana SEO named the city at all, and one of those was written for the Arkansas side.

Page one for "seo texarkana tx" was mostly about elsewhere

We checked Google for "seo texarkana tx" on October 17, 2026. It showed an AI Overview, a map pack and a People Also Ask box, then nine organic results: five agency pages, three directories and lists (Bark and DesignRush's list of Texas firms among them) and one LinkedIn page. Only two of the nine titles named Texarkana. One was an agency page for Texarkana law firms; the other was about the Arkansas side. The rest were about Midland, League City, Waco or Texas in general.

That is a search Google had trouble filling. For a Texarkana business in any trade, it suggests the bar is low: a page that is clearly about your service in Texarkana, with jobs, photos and the towns you cover, has few direct rivals. The keyword data matches the picture. In October 2026, "seo texarkana", "texarkana web design" and "web design texarkana" drew about 10 searches a month apiece, roughly 30 in total, and two of the three were about websites.

The People Also Ask questions came from someone weighing cost and do-it-yourself tools against hiring help: "How much do SEO specialists charge?", "Is it worth paying for SEO services?", "Is SEO replaced by AI?" and "Can ChatGPT do SEO?". With an AI Overview at the top of the page, part of any answer now appears before the first link. Overviews draw on pages that state facts plainly, so a site that says what you do, where, and roughly what it costs or how you quote gives Google something to work with.

Texarkana, Texas, in Census figures

These figures describe the Texas city only; Texarkana, Arkansas is counted separately. Census Bureau survey data for 2019 to 2023 (the American Community Survey's five-year estimates) show 14,695 employed residents in Texarkana, Texas. Health care and social assistance was the largest industry at 18.2 percent, followed by retail at 13.2 percent and accommodation and food services at 12.8 percent. The median household income was $49,240, and only 7.8 percent of workers worked from home. Census estimates put the 2024 population at 35,971, down 0.8 percent since 2020.

Health care at nearly one job in five reflects a city whose hospitals and clinics serve a wide, mostly rural area that reaches into four states, often called the Four States area. Patients drive in from small towns, search by specialty plus Texarkana, and choose on reviews and distance. A practice here needs a page per specialty and a profile that names the conditions it treats.

Retail and food service follow the traffic. I-30 carries drivers between Dallas and Little Rock right through town, and State Line Avenue is lined with shops and restaurants. Travelers search on phones with "near me", so current hours, photos and a menu or product list on the Business Profile matter more than anything on the website. Household incomes here sit below those of the big Texas metros, and price is likely part of most local decisions, which is a good reason to put prices, or at least a clear way to get a quote, on the page.

One market, two states

Texarkana, Texas is in Bowie County; Texarkana, Arkansas is in Miller County, and State Line Avenue runs along the boundary between them. Customers cross it every day without thinking about it, but Google does not: it treats the two Texarkanas as separate cities.

A Business Profile has one address, on one side. If you are a service-area business, you can hide that address and name as many as 20 service areas, so list both Texarkanas and the towns you really reach, such as Nash, Wake Village, Hooks or New Boston on the Texas side. Google's map still leans toward businesses close to whoever is searching, so a page about your work on the other side of the line helps with the rest. If your trade is licensed, check what each state requires before you advertise work across the line; Texas and Arkansas run separate licensing systems, and the rules change.

Most Texarkana businesses serve the city and the counties around it rather than a distant metro. The nearest Texas cities we cover are Longview, about 75 miles away in a straight line, and Tyler, about 105. A company that also sells into the east side of the Metroplex can follow I-30 west to Rockwall and Rowlett, each worth a page only if you take real jobs there. Our East Texas page covers the wider region.

Texarkana questions

Should a Texarkana business list both Texas and Arkansas in its service area?

Yes, if you serve both. Google treats Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas as separate places, so a profile that lists only one leaves the other out. Add each city and town you really work in, up to the limit of 20, and back up the side of the line where you have no address with a page about the jobs you do there.

Can ChatGPT do SEO for a small Texarkana business?

It can help with parts of it, such as drafting a service page or listing questions customers ask, but it cannot fill in your Business Profile, earn reviews, fix your directory listings or get other sites to link to you. Anything it writes about Texarkana needs checking, because it can get local details wrong. Treat it as a drafting tool and keep a person responsible for what goes live.

Is SEO being replaced by AI answers?

Not replaced, but changed. In October 2026 Google showed an AI Overview above the results for Texarkana SEO searches, so some answers now appear before any link. Those overviews draw on pages that state things plainly, and the map pack below them still sends calls. A business with a complete profile, good reviews and specific pages about its services is well placed for both.

How much do SEO specialists charge for a market the size of Texarkana?

Our rates are one statewide list: Basic is $65 a month for 5 keywords, Silver $125 for 10, Golden $235 for 20, Platinum $325 and Titanium $575, all month to month. With few competitors, a Texarkana business can often start on Basic or Silver and move up later. Other providers set their own rates, so get any quote in writing with the work listed.
